Really wishing that I was quicker at processing things and asking questions.... i would love to be part of these conversations and learn from the experts at this university but I... I cannot come up with both a question AND the confidence to ask it during a talk. One or the other or maybe neither. Not both. 

Now I have a question and the visiting professor is gone and I contributed to the awkward silence and also have not helped anything. 

How do people do this?
