Jan. 2nd, 2019 01:41 pmFor all my love of fandom and transformative works, and for all that I've been writing fic in my head as long as I can remember, its occurred to me recently that when I was writing original stuff as a kid I was always focused on writing A Novel TM, without anything attached, and I always lost motivation on those really quick because novels are long and I didn't make the space for me to develop my characters outside of The Novel TM.
Which makes it really exciting that I've learned how to scribble bits and write side stories and short stories and rps with my own characters, so now I can actually develop them without worrying about Creating A Novel TM which is a low priority rn
Anyway I was looking back at my splat writing from the past year and that's one thing I'm really excited about, process-wise.
